From Hospitality Server to TACACS+ Server

As a restaurant server, I have refined my ability to manage multiple tasks, communicate effectively, and solve problems in high pressure situations with skills that I am eager to apply in the field of network systems administration. Driven by a deep interest in technology, I am actively building my expertise by using GNS3 to emulate real world enterprise network environments in home labs. This hands on experience is helping me develop a strong understanding of networking concepts and system administration. I am excited to continue expanding my technical skills and seek opportunities to apply my problem solving abilities to the world of IT.

As a self-motivated network administrator enthusiast with hands-on experience in building and managing a home lab using GNS3 to simulate real-world network environments, this lab's focus on network monitoring with SolarWinds SNMP was to gain practical insights into network performance, troubleshooting, and optimization.

Created and emulated network environments using GNS3 to replicate complex Enterprise Network Topologies.
Configured and deployed Routers, Switches, & Firewalls sourcing appropriate proprietary image files from multi vendors simulating diverse practical network scenarios.
Implemented Solarwinds(NPM) Network Performance Monitor to oversee and administer SNMP enabled devices in the lab environment.

Cisco ASA Firewall Lab

As a passionate Network Administrator enthusiast with practical hands on experience in the configuration/management of Access Control Lists(ACL) & Cisco ASA Firewalls within a GNS3 home lab environment. My objective with this lab was to build/secure Enterprise level networks, gaining valuable experience in Firewall configuration, Security Policies, and traffic management practical to real world IT environments.

Deployed virtualized Networks using GNS3 to emulate several network segments(LAN,DMZ,WAN) with Cisco ASA Firewall devices.
Administered the implementation of NAT, DHCP, & VPN configurations on the ASA to secure network traffic.
Facilitated the configuration of ACLs to filter traffic based on Source/Destination IP Address, Port Numbers, & Protocols ensuring secure access and preventing unauthorized traffic.
This hands on experience with Cisco ASA Firewalls and ACL configurations has equipped me with practical skills necessary to secure Enterprise Networks ensuring efficient traffic flow across various multi vendor environments.

Home Lab for Bash Scripting

As a dedicated and aspiring Network/System Administrator I had the goal of acquiring hands on experience in automating system administration's tasks and managing Linux environments through Bash-Scripting by building my Home Linux Lab. This lab's objectives were spot simulate real world administrative workflows, improving efficiency and deeping knowledge of system management, troubleshooting and process automation.

Developed custom Bash scripts to automate routine system administration tasks, such as user management, logo monitoring, backups & software installations
Configured Cron Jobs to schedule and automate various system tasks including Database backups, Log rotations,& System cleaning.
Created scripts to deploy software packages, manage file permissions, monitor network services, within my Debian based, Linux Mint Virtual Machine allowing for seamless system administration.
This home lab provided me with a solid foundation in scripting and automation, allowing me to streamline complex administrative tasks, all applicable to real world system administration challenges.
